I love to take taxis, even though they often make me car sick (more on that later in the week!). I guess I got this idea that taxis are the best mode of New York transportation from watching too much Sex & The City back in the day…they’re not, not at all. But I still want one…all the time, espeically when it’s really cold…or really hot….

Just say it! You’re a bum!
I’ve only ridden in a few taxis and, well, the experience didn’t blow me away. But it sure as hell beat A) walking B) taking the bus and C) driving oneself and dealing with parking. Do you get more car sick now that you don’t drive as often?

I never used to get car sick…well not since I was kid. The bus downtown picks up right on my street (Second Ave) so it’s hard to NOT take it, but it is brutally slow, especially while uptown. The subway is pretty good, and so is walking, so long as it’s not SO cold.
I miss driving so much. I miss my car so much. Whenever I have those missing pangs though I just try to remember how terrible the traffic was ALL THE TIME in LA. That makes me feel a little better about missing my car…
